If you are an Angular developer, Ionic is a fantastic framework for developing cross-platform mobile applications. Support for React and Vue has recently been announced but I haven't used these myself. Performance was definitely good enough on mobile devices. Setup and deployment to devices was very straight forward. There's a large community which supports Ionic and if you run into issues you'll find an answer on Stack Overflow most of the time.
